Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary design and development team. This role focuses on the electrical architecture, wiring systems, onboard power management, and mission-critical electronics integration across land, sea, and modular platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement electrical systems for tactical vehicles, armored watercraft, and defense-grade infrastructure
Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and system-level integration plans
Integrate communications, sensors, navigation, and control systems into vehicle platforms
Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure platform-wide compatibility and performance
Test and troubleshoot low- and high-voltage systems, battery packs, inverters, and redundant power systems
Ensure designs comply with MIL-STD, IPC, and ITAR regulations and documentation standards
Support field testing, commissioning, and configuration of production platforms
Interface with suppliers and OEM partners to source and qualify components
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in vehicle or systems-level electrical design (defense or marine preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, or similar ECAD tools
Experience with CAN bus systems, radio integration, GPS, and telemetry wiring
Understanding of EMI shielding, waterproofing, and ruggedization techniques
U.S. Citizenship (required for ITAR-regulated programs)
Ability to read, interpret, and generate electrical schematics and block diagrams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, or unmanned platforms
Familiarity with MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461, or NATO standards
Hands-on experience with hybrid-electric powertrains or energy storage systems
Proficiency in Python or C for embedded control integration
Experience with system safety certification and functional redundancy planning
